My kitchen has cream cabinets with brown wood at the edges. All my appliances are white/cream. I have white walls to which I want to add an accent wall. What colour should this accent wall be?

Any color you like, because your cabinets and other walls are neutral colors.
Sounds like my kitchen and it's painted a Behr paint called "Summer Melon", sort of a pale peach. I get lots of compliments on it!

I am in the process of updating my kitchen. My primary kitchen cabinets are cream color. My island cabinets are burnished chestnut. I have hardwood floors and a brown and cream color quartz counter top. What would be the best color for my walls?
Browns on the color wheel lean toward either blue or red. Are your browns all in the same "family?" If so, I would go with a muted red or blue tint depending on where they lay in the color wheel. If you had to focus on one wood feature it should be your floor. (06/29/2010)

Your cabinet and counter tops are both neutral as is your flooring. Most colors should go with your kitchen. Personally I prefer reds in kitchens. :) (07/01/2010)

I would go with a sage green or bluish-gray color. (07/01/2010)

Your existing kitchen made me think of a kitchen from one of the HGTV dream homes. The base had a lot of neutrals, but with bright pops of apple green. I think I may have saved it. Yep, here ya go: Good luck! (07/05/2010)
