Blend cake mix, oil, water and eggs. Stir in chocolate pieces and nuts. Drop from teaspoon onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees F for 10-12 minutes. Top of cookies will be pale. Make 3 1/2 dozen.

And if you are watching calories and fat, I have substituted apple sauce for the oil. You can't tell the difference.
The recipe I use with any kind of cake mix or brownie mix is 1 cube of softened butter and 1 large egg. Add nuts, raisins, crasins, nutmeg, vanilla, cinnamon, chocolate chips, coconut or anything else you can think of to enhance the flavor.
I'm glad this was posted, again. I've been using a chocolate chip cookie packaged mix and the cookies are too sweet and too greasy.
