Make washing out your trash can a breeze: drill several 1/2 inch holes in the bottom. The holes will allow you to hose down the insides without having to dump out the water, and also prevent rainwater from collecting.

Great for water, not so great if old spaghetti sauce or some other non-water liquid leaks out of your trash bags or its own container. It goes through the holes as well, could settle down below, and if it's awhile before you roll the trash can out to the curb and the temperatures are warm, it could get pretty smelly.
This is smart and I give it a thumbs up!
Everyone ought to know you put liquids like spaghetti sauce in bags or containers so as not to leak. Furthermore I'd rather have it on the ground than in the can. I still give it a thumbs up.
