Brown beef and drain. Combine tomatoes and water in kettle. Add mushrooms, celery, carrots, onion, and meat. Simmer 30 minutes. Add rice, potatoes, and seasonings. Simmer 45-60 minutes or until veggies are tender.

What is the quantity of mushrooms or does this have a trick name?
oops. What kind and how much mushrooms? Saute? When to add?
Since this is called Mushroom soup one would expect it to contain mushrooms. I've looked the recipe over carefully and saw no sign of a mushroom present. Did you perhaps mix up the recipe?
I have written Robin to find out about the missing mushrooms. I'll post an update soon. Thanks for letting us know.
Sorry! The recipe does need to have 2 cans of mushrooms, drained, added to it. I just missed typing in the particular ingredient when I sent the recipe in. I agree that it does have a funny sounding name considering it has many more ingredients than just mushrooms in it! Very good soup! Enjoy!
