Has anyone any ideas about how to pad bra straps to reduce tendon irritation on the shoulders? Maybe some kind of silicon gel pad or something to spread the load?

I googled 'bra strap pads'. Here is info from teddygirl AT aol.com:
Bra Strap Pads provide relief from bra straps that cut into your skin and cause discomfort. These are silicone pads with an open center that slips under your bra straps, then your bra strap is placed in the holder for a more comfortable bra. They're held in place by the pressure of your "too tight" straps against shoulder (they don't glue on or stay attached to the bra). These are a "new & improved" version with a series of grooves in the center.
One size, price is per pair (2 pads per package). One pair is $6.99, save when buying two or more pair at $6.00 per pair.
