Both my Sister and I make this. She doesn't put the meat in hers, like Robin does, but Sis does put in a drained 8 oz. can of mandarin orange segments in hers. It's good this way, but my husband doesn't like the oranges or onions in it, so I leave them out when I prepare it, except for the onions, & I use onion salt instead. I like this slaw when the noodles are mostly soft, but I have a friend that prepares the same salad & serves it immediately after preparing it & the noodles are hard & crunchy. So this salad or slaw can be prepared a number of ways, you be the judge as to how you like it.
