Travel: Notre Dame Cathedral (Paris, France)

I had been in Paris for a few days and walked a lot throughout the city. The weather was wonderful and the sights fantastic. I took this photo across the Seine of the back of the cathedral. Note the spectacular rose windows on the side of the building. You can view the flying buttresses through the trees.

I have always thought the cathedral was very beautiful and did spend some time inside. One must visit the cathedral whenever you might be in Paris.

Would love info on where you chose to stay during your trip since I am planning a trip there in the future. Thanks.

I really like the way you framed this photo, you captured the best parts of the cathedral area with the enclosure wall, the grounds leading to the cathedral, the glorious windows, and the roofline. Very nice, would make a lovely postcard.

When you were inside were you able to take any photos? There was a no-flash photography rule there when we went but I read they were considering changing that to an all photography ban.
