Cleaning Sinks with Crazing Around the Drain?

We have 3 rather old bathroom sinks. They are made out of plastic, I think. They all have bad "spiderweb" cracks around the drainage hole. I have tried cleaning them with bleach and wet/dry sandpaper, without any success. Are there any suggestions out there?

Have you tried hydrogen peroxide (40% volume)? Cover the stained area or if the stain is all over, completely cover the item, Let soak an hour, rinse, good luck.
