Turpentine Odors?

I spilled a turpentine based cleaner on the cement basement floor. The stain came out with water (actually the area is cleaner) but the smell still remains. What can I use to get the smell out? Opening a window to ventilate is no option.

I used to work as a janitor a long time ago. To absorb odors we would place kitty litter, or baking soda over the spot and let it set for several hours. They both absorb odors. If it doesn't work the first time, I recommend that you try leaving it over night. You could also try scrubbing the area with white vinager, as this too can remove odors. Good Luck. Hope this helps.

Thank you Dawn, the baking soda worked over night.
