Craft Ideas Using Recycled Leather Jacket?

I have a leather jacket that has a large tear in the leather. I hate to throw it out so I'm looking for some craft ideas to recycle the leather from the jacket.

You could make some nice book covers, a wallet, a cell phone holder, a camera bag, sunglasses case, a small dog coat, etc. It's great you didn't throw the jacket out!

I was also going to suggest that you cut it in as long a strip as you can and use it to cover your steering wheel! Cut circles out and make coasters, make a grocery bag, make a smaller jacket for a boy or girl, etc.

Make some leather accessories! Cut all different sized strips for bracelets and necklaces. You can cut out some flower shapes or others to attach. Keep them for yourself, give them as gifts, or make some money off of them!

Use it to redo shoes, such as making straps and sewing or glueing on to shoe to make a different look, or make boot, or shoe cuffs with it.

You can make a reusable shopping bag out of it, some baby shoes, jewelry, or even use the leather to upcycle an old pair of sandals or flip flops into a whole new pair of comfy leather slides.
