I have spilled butter on my new red leather purse. Now it has dark spots. How can I remove them?

Here's just one of the many hits I got from a google of "cleaning grease off leather" :
Hi,
You cannot remove oily stains from leather without running the risk of removing the leathers colour. You could try a degreaser and then re-colouring balm. Or look for a leather specialist in your area.
You can get a leather degreaser here - www.furnitureclinic.co.uk/

I have gotten salad oil all over my good BK Makowsky bag. Is there anyway to clean this bag? It's dark red and almost new.
Thanks. L
You might try this on a test area (some place that isn't as visible as others). You might try some lighter fluid on a soft cloth, rubbing gently. Yet, on my blouses that have gotten oil stains on them, oil and vinegar don't mix, so I massage a bit of the vinegar onto the spot.
I sprayed a wasp with Raid wasp spray. The spay comes out in a stream and got all over my orange leather pocketbook. I tried leather cleaner, but can not get the stains out. Help!

Spilled Junior Mints melted in my purse and the oils left a stain on the leather. How would you clean this?
