The dark wood kitchen cabinet front above the microwave has an area that has turned white. What caused this? Steam? How do I clean it?

I only have a guess - steam, but didn't want you to think you were being ignored. Wish I could help...maybe Murphy's Oil Soap?
Murphy oil is what I usually use to clean my cherry stained cabinets but it didn't work for the white steam Mark's.
I'm just waiting to see if coconut oil will work.

I just used coconut oil on my white stain kitchen cabinet it seems to be working hopefully it won't comeback.
