Curious George of the Jungle

This setting was at a camp for abused/neglected children (foster children) called Royal Family Kids' Camp; my husband and I conducted the "Breakfast Club" for the campers while the counselors and directors were at an early morning meeting before breakfast. George was our mascot and was a part of role-playing skits at times; the children loved George and he was a good addition to our Jungle Theme.

This camp is a Christian based camp and the children are treatly "royally" for 5 days. There are many activities scheduled during the day; a birthday party is given for the group of children with a large cake, birthday presents. They are special kids and we want them to feel special and loved for that week plus learn of God's love and plans for their lives.

This was our fifth year as "Grandparents" to these children and it is a very rewarding experience and a blessing in our lives.
