Painting Shower Tiles?

I have a shower the previous owners painted. I removed as much as possible. Any hint on how to repaint or cover tiles?

There are also decals now that you can place over tiles to change their appearance.

I just saw an article on this in the newest Better Homes and Gardens magazine (November 2008 issue?) You might want to try the Better Homes and Garden's website. I couldn't get over how nice the bathroom tiles looked once the editors painted them. They don't look painted.
