Quick easy and tasty.
Put flour in a bowl, add salt and sugar and mix. Then pour the yeast and add the warm water. Let the yeast bubble, add the oil, vanilla, and egg. Mix well and let rise for 10 - 30 minutes.
Pour some flour on the board and roll out the dough. You can fill it with a lot of options like : lemon curd, sweet cheese, cooked cinnamon apples, etc. If you want to make the dough savory DON'T add sugar to the dough. Stuff with cheese and spinach, mashed potato, etc.
Bake at 400 degrees F for 15-20 minutes until it's ready and turns a golden brown color.
