I've found that hot chocolate mix is cheaper in cans than the pre-measured single serving packets. And I can mix it without using so much. In my opinion, it tastes better, and I save money on every cup.

Make your own mix. 8 cup box of powdered milk, 1 lb bag powdered sugar, 1 lb canister non-dairy creamer, 1 lb canister hot cocoa mix (not unsweetened cocoa). Mix altogether keep in air tight container.

This lasts forever, and is sooooo good. Mix with hot water to your own liking of how chocolaty you like it. My grandbabies love it especially with marshmallows on top.

I tried the much cheaper Home Brand, (Woolworths, Australia), Instant drinking chocolate but wasn't very keen on it. I didn't want to waste it so I mixed it with my favourite Cadburys Drinking Chocolate and the mix tasted fine, so now I always mix the two - half and half.

I would never buy single sachets because of the price but also because of all that extra packaging going to landfill.

Regards

Jo

I will never give up my milk + Ovaline in my hot chocolate machine ever even if it costs cheaper another way. It is way toooo good and the Ovaltine has nutrients added.
