How much will it cost to add a 2 car attached garage to my house?. It will be 22 feet wide x 24 feet deep with a 6 foot breeze way between house and garage. The interior will be unimproved. Does anyone have recent experience with this type of construction cost?

You can get the info from a builder,it should be free, call a Realtor, ask who they recommend,we found a good one this way,get at least 2 prices from 2 builders, good luck.
Go to a lumber store and tell them exactly what you want. Most stores have computer programs to estimate materials or have someone who knows how to estimate also. How tall do you want the walls? Do you want 2x4 framing or 2x6? What pitch do you want for the trusses? What kind of roofing do you want? What kind of siding do you want? What kind of doors and windows do you want? Then you need to decide what kind of slab do you want to build the garage on. One with footer, walls, and floor or just a monolithic slab. Contact a concete company for an estimate for price per cubic yard delivered. There are so many variables that it's hard to say what it will cost.
Get 2 estimates from the contractors you contact. One with them providing the materials and one with you providing the materials. As a general rule, contractors will get an estimate for the materials, tack on 10 to 20 percent, then add in their labor based on that figure which is usually the same. $10,000.00 for materials = $10,000.00 for labor. You can buy the materials yourself (most lumber stores will give you a discount if you buy the entire package from them)but then the contractor will just charge more for his labor.
