This is in reference to the 3D shell stitch. I finally found some info on YouTube, it was a potholder and 2 hot plates, found under Crochet Projects 001. I hope this will help to identify the stitch a little better. If anyone knows how to do this stitch or has a pattern, please help.

Has anyone ever heard of a 3D shell crochet stitch? I saw this on YouTube as a dishcloth or potholder stitch and it was very pretty. Please help. I cannot find this stitch.

Check out this web page and see if it helps.
From what I'm understanding, a 3-D shell stitch is just a shell stitch placed over other open-meshed (like filet crochet) work, and could be done with or without a pattern. I think it might be pretty easy.
Good Luck.
