I have a banana plant with spots on it. What would you recommend?

Spots on the leaves are quite common. Banana farmers simply chop the leaves off at its base. If on the off chance that it is a type of leaf disease though, I'd kill the fronds (leave in the sun away from other plants) then get rid of the leaves and don't put them into any compost.
