This Dollar Tree Box and Hearts can be made into a gift for either gender, or even a teacher or relative.
Approximate Time: 1 hour
With a raw box, sand down edges. Paint the box your choice of color. It will take two or three coats.
With the fabric, make sure you have enough to rip or cut it into 3/4 inches wide strips but still leave enough for the front.
Hot glue the end of one strip to the inside of the handle, and wrap it around gluing it to the back at the half way point. Do this for both handles.
With the rest of the fabric, cut out a heart shape and white glue it to the front of the box. You will notice I had to put a seam down the middle of mine, as the pattern would have had one cupid upside down. If you pattern is floral, this shouldn't be a problem.
Once the fabric is set, put some glitter glue at the center of the heart, and paint out to the edges, not going past the fabric.
When that is dry, gather some string around the hearts so they don't just fall to one side or the other, and put them in.
