Here is a stool I refurbished to make it look like a watermelon.
Materials:
- a stool
- sandpaper
- acrylic paints
- paint brushes
- sealer
Directions
- Sand the top so it will take the paint. If it is an unfinished stool, you may want to paint the legs.
- Apply acrylic paint to make it look like a watermelon. I painted a green circle on the outside, then a white circle and then the red circle in the middle. Add the black dots for seeds.
- Let each color dry thoroughly before going on to the next.
- Seal and let the sealer dry. You may want to apply two coats.
You can paint a stool like this with any pattern. Just make sure you seal it well.
