Cut the cooking time for hamburgers in half by making several holes in the center of each patty. The inside cooks more quickly.

Very good tip but wanted to add that you make those holes only on the upper portion and 'before' starting to cook the patties and then don't turn until just before ready to sear that upper side or you'll end up with dried out patties because the juices will be long gone :-(
