These are patterns that I have collected and modified to fit Barbie. Lots of different yarns can be used to make these outfits different. These are quick and easy for an intermediate crocheter, but easy enough for a beginner to try also. Please experiment with the different yarns. Most of these can be made with left over yarn from other projects or leftovers bought at a thrift store. I am warning you right now that these can become addictive so if you make some extras, find a needy little girl that will enjoy them. Happy crocheting.
1/2 ounce of baby yarn or other thin yarn like mohair or sport yarns or metallic yarns for evening wear.
Size C crochet hook
Strapless Jumpsuit
Work entire jumpsuit in back loop only.
Rnd 1: Beginning at top edge of bodice chain 24. Join with a slip stitch to form ring. Chain 2, single crochet in each stitch, join with a slip stitch to top of chain 2.
Rnd 2 - 18 Repeat Rnd 1, fasten off.
Rnd 19 Slip stitch front to back at center to form crotch.
Legs: Chain 2, single crochet around to slip stitch, join in top of chain 2.
Rnds 20-28: Repeat Rnd 19, fasten off.
For the second leg, join yarn at center crotch. Repeat 19-28, fasten off.
Belt: Chain 50, single crochet in 2nd chain from hook and in each chain across, fasten off.
Halter Dress
Beginning at top edge of bodice, Ch 26 join with slip stitch to form ring.
Rnd 1: Chain 2, single crochet in each chain around, join in top of chain 2.
Mink Stole (Works best with a fuzzy brown colored yarn.)
Chain 75
Rnd 1: Single crochet in each stitch across. Chain 2, turn.
Rnd 2-5 Double crochet in each stitch across. Chain 2, turn.
Rnd 6 Single crochet in each stitch across fasten off.
Attach Velcro dots to keep it closed.
Two Piece suit
Skirt: Work entire skirt in back loop only. Do not turn work at end of each round.
Rnd 1: Chain 22, join with slip stitch to form ring. Chain 2, single crochet in each chain around, join with slip stitch in top of chain 3.
Rnd 2: Increase ( 2 stitches instead of just one ) in first second single crochet, Double crochet in each of next 7 single crochet, increase in next single crochet, double crochet in each of next 7 single crochet, increase in next single crochet, double crochet in last 7 single crochet, join chain 3.
Pocket book: Chain 7 and single crochet in each chain across until you have a square of about 3 inches by 3 inches. Fold bottom up and crochet sides together with a slip stitch. At the top of where the fold bottom meets the flap attach a jump ring on both sides and then attach a small piece of chain.
Necklaces and bracelets: Take small beading elastic and string small beads until you have the length that you want. Tie a knot.
Shell top: Make 2 squares. Chain 14, single crochet in each chain across chain 2, turn.
Rnd 2: In back loops only single crochet across, chain 2 turn
Rnd 3-6 Repeat Rnd 2, fasten off.
Shoulders. Attach and slip stitch across first 4 stitches, chain 1, turn.
Slacks: Chain 24 and slip stitch to form ring. Working in back loop only, chain 2, single crochet in each stitch and join with a slip stitch to top of chain 2.
Rnd 2-9 Repeat rnd 1, fasten off.
Rnd 10 slip stitch front to back at center to form crotch.
Legs: Chain2, single crochet around to slip stitch, join in top of chain 2.
Rnds 11-18 Repeat rnd 10, fasten off.
For second leg, join at center crotch. Repeat rnds 11-18, fasten.
