How do I remove white water marks from furniture that is painted? This furniture has been painted to look antique with several colors of paint. It cannot just be painted over.

I just saw this on the Dr. Oz show, I haven't tried it myself. Take a small cup of ashes from the fireplace or grill, mix in just enough water to make a paste, and use a toothbrush to work it into the stain. Brush it back and forth with the grain until the stain is gone, then polish the wood with bottled polish (not a spray). I hope this helps!
This doesn't work. I just tried it.
Does anyone else know of how to get white rings out of painted wood furniture? Toothpaste, vinegar and ashes don't work.
Low setting iron. Place a towel over the white ring. Itll release the moisture. But u have to be careful test it out on a different spot first.

I have a black painted table, with white rings. How do I get rid of them? I tried toothpaste and vinegar, with no results. Thanks.

You can buy some white ring remover in the paint department of any hardware store. Made by Formbys. You can also use Vaseline petroleum and some cigarette ashes. Just rub into the ring, let set then wipe.
Why don't you try to use a black marker to fill in the white ring?
Hi my name is Diann. I recently had company and they left a water bottle sit on my brand new black nightstand. Siri referred me to this site for info and youre right, nothing worked. However, I figured I had nothing to lose so I went and got some of my 00 fine steel wool from my basement.
