You could use them as ashtrays when you have lots of guest over. Put them out wherever you allow your guest to smoke (bathroom, patios, etc.) Remove the lable from the can and paint them then add a little bit of baking soda in the bottom of the can. The baking soda helps put out the flame and absords the smell of smoke.

I use empty tuna cans in my daycare. We paint them different colors and save the tops off of markers and the children drop the marker in the matching can and tell me the color. They are also great for sorting. Keep one on your dresser for pocket change. put them out in the garden with beer in it to get rid of sluggs.

You can make drums out of them by cutting the lid off the bottom. paint it whatever color you like or glue a Indian scene to the sides. Stretch a piece of rawhide across top and botton leave the sides open . Punch holes with a hole punch to make holes to lace rawhide string through the top and back through the bottom to form criss crosses on the sides .

Decorate with feathers and pony beads. Make drumsticks out of a small wooden bead glue it to a small dowel rod.

We use them for firestarters (I understand this is a Girl Scout craft) by putting cardboard and wax in, or lint and wax. They work really well.

Put mouse poison into it and then place it into the attic.
