I came across this post when looking for the same thing. I ended up using motionmailapp.com/. They make it really easy to put together your own personal timers.

They offer countdown timers, Personalized Images and Live Instagram Feeds all on a free trial. Plus their timers have more features than the other companies mentioned above.

I use http://mymemorizer.com and have used it for over 20 years. It sends you 4 emails for each event at times and dates you set. You can even use it to text messages.
