Cream sugars, oil, eggs. Add vanilla. Mix in gradually the remaining ingredients. Drop by teaspoon on ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake at 325 degrees F. for 8 - 10 minutes. Makes 10 dozen.

Robin, this is a great recipe & it does take a dishpan to mix up. I have an original recipe named the same, only it takes rice krispies instead of corn flakes and no coconut. Everyone, this is a good cookie recipe especially for big crowds or large number of children to do cookies for.
Never have tried this but it sure sounds great. This would work out real good for so many things. Thankd for sharing it with us.
Every year, myself and about 6 or 7 friends get together the first week-end in December and do a "Cookie Exchange". It's a lot of fun (we have a blast!) but throughout the year I'm always looking for a different cookie recipe that I can use for it. This sounds great. And I won't have to be mixing several batches. Of course, in order to be sure that's what I want to make, I'll have to do an "experimental" batch for my hubby and co-workers. I haven't had any complaints yet. LOL!

I've been making this recipe since I was a young girl (40+ years). Its close but not quite the same. It's more like piwacket's recipe.. but I'll try it to compare. Thanks.
