Ingredients

  • 5 cups peeled and sliced apples
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1 Tbsp. cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup milk or cream
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar

  • 1/3 cup butter or margarine
  • 1/4 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp. soda

Directions

Mix the apples and all dry ingredients together, including the butter. Place mixture into a buttered cake pan. Pour milk over mixture. Crumble a little bit of brown sugar and flour over top. Bake at 350 degrees F for about 40 minutes.

I have a super uncomplicated way of making baked apples. Gala apples to be cooked in square glass cookware I slice off the top of the apples, core the apples. Stuff cores with raisins and put large raisins in the top part. Put a bit of Splenda plus a sprinkle of cinnamon on each apple*.

Put top of apple back on apple Mixture of Diet Cherry Cola & Diet Cola on bottom of glass. Cover with foil and bake at 425 for about 50 minutes or longer depending on how soft you like the apples.
*I use Target, Archer Farms, cinnamon.
