If you are referring to Ted Kennedy's first wife, the answer is that she is still alive. Her maiden name was Virginia Joan Bennett, but she went by the name of Joan, so most know her as Joan Kennedy.

Yes she is still alive. If you google joan kennedy you will get a history of her problems.

Thanks, I did goodle it and they told of her alcoholism but it didn't say whether she had passed or not. I was almost positive that she had, but thanks for the responses.

If you watched the people going in to the church in Boston to attend Kennedy's service on TV you would have seen Joan Kennedy. The announcers pointed her out and during the service one could see her sitting a few rows behind Vickie on the isle when the TV camera panned the audience.
