Melt butter and marshmallows in microwave for 30 seconds at a time, stirring between. Once melted, add dry cake mix into marshmallow/butter mix and stir until blended. Put rice krispies in a very large bowl and pour marshmallow/butter/cake mix mixture over top and mix thoroughly (I use my own buttered clean hands) and combine thoroughly. Press into buttered cake pan top generously with sprinkles, cover with plastic wrap and cool completely. You could vary this recipe using different cake flavors like cocoa krispies with German chocolate cake mix and sprinkle with toasted coconut. I think next time I'll use funfetti cake mix. Mmm! Enjoy!

I have always been taught not to eat raw/uncooked flour or cake mixes?
No, it's just flour & flavoring. They say you should not eat raw cake or cookie batter/dough because of the raw eggs in it but I've done that all my life and still going at 68. Mom got me to eat eggs when I was a child by making egg nog from 1 (2 when she found I liked it!) egg(s), cup of milk, vanilla, sugar, cinnamon.
I think the problem here is terminology. You should not eat uncooked premade dough, like cookie dough in the tube. People have died. Though it was determined to be e coli and not salmonella (not the eggs) cooking probably would have killed the e coli.
Fresh eggs in fresh dough is fine. I've never heard of anyone ever getting sick from fresh raw eggs. Eggs are cleaned and promptly refrigerated in this country and also inspected, so it isn't really a problem.
Plain dry flour or other grain like oats is okay, too.
