To make liquid soap and hand sanitizer go further, I tightly wrap a rubber band around the neck of the pump so the pump doesn't go all the way down. This helps control the amount being used per pump.

Thanks for the reminder, my church uses liquid soap. Although I barely depress the pump, thereby using only enough to clean my hands, I'm sure many folks don't. I've got to keep reminding myself to sneak a rubber band onto that pump dispenser!
