My husband and I have been through thick and thin, laughter and tears, sweat and blood. He has redefined love for me and opened my eyes to the beauty of true partnership and redemption. I feel this photo captures that essence.
The other night, we went down to the shoreline of Elephant Rock in Bandon, Oregon for a stroll along the beach during the sunset. There were scattered clouds in the sky, so we knew it would be fabulous. There were quite a few people down on the beach that evening, I suppose they all had the same idea we did :) A few of them said hello and we were able to discuss the beauty of the sunsets here on the coast and how we never get sick of them with a few other locals. But, nearing the end of the evening, we decided to sneak back up the stairs and along the little path above the shorelines to find a more quiet, peaceful, and private area to enjoy the sunset and each others' company.
We ended up wandering to the second bench, as it had a better view of the colors God provided that evening than the other bench. I couldn't help myself, the evening was so perfect that I wanted to capture the memory in a way I'd never forget. So, I did what I always do - I whipped out my camera :) I set it to the 10 second timer, placed it on the tripod, and went back to the bench with my husband. To me, it captured the evening. The love, the nature, the passion, the splendor - The moment :)
I hope you are all blessed with many nights such as these, whether it be with your significant other, your children, family, friends, pets, or even just alone in the peaceful solitude of nature and spirit. May you all have many beautiful memories such as the one Brian and I created that evening. I hope you're able to capture them, too! If not with your camera, at least with your heart :) Have a fabulous week, everyone.
