Don't put chocolate in the refrigerator, unless it's already been cooked, because it ruins the taste and quality of the chocolate!

The one exception to this rule is if you can't keep it stored in a dark cool place. If it's going to be stored somewhere at or above 70 degrees you should and can wrap it in foil in it's original wrapper and place in an airtight storage container and freeze. If you have to do this then be sure to allow it to come to room temperature before removing from the storage container.
