How do I keep my mohawk from getting smashed everytime I sleep so I dont have to do it every morning!

That's one tough question, which I don't know the answer to. But it's fun to brainstorm; let's see if I come up with anything that sounds good to you.
I've heard that some snorers wear a tight shirt to bed with a tennis ball stuffed into it between their shoulder blades. This makes it uncomfortable for them to sleep on their backs, which is the position that causes them to snore the most loudly. Maybe some variant of this would work for your purposes. Tape a ping-pong ball on the side of your head so when you try to roll over, it's uncomfortable and you decide not to?
Maybe you can learn to sleep sitting up, with your knees up, and leaned forward against your knees, like the elephant man. (If you don't know what I'm talking about, you can see it in the movie "The Elephant Man," which is a pretty interesting movie.) Or find a way to prop yourself up with pillows so you still have plenty of room for your hair behind you, like sticking into a bookcase headboard.
I doubt you have a massage chair in your house, but don't those guys have something where you can lie on your stomach with your face straight down because there's a hole for your face so you don't smash your nose? Maybe you could find a used one cheap and learn to sleep on that.
I'm trying to imagine some sort of helmet you could wear with a big space for your mohawk, but that's not so easy!
Maybe a better way to approach the problem would be to look into quicker ways to do your hair, or to figure out a way to help yourself wake up earlier in the morning.

I have a 'hawk and it seems to work best for me to either sleep on my side or on my stomach with my head to the side so that I'm not eating mattress. (something like this: necrophiliacs.net/
I've also heard that if you use Knox to put your 'hawk up, it'll stand up the next day even if you sleep on it.
Hm.. See, you may have to "train" yourself into sleeping in a comfortable way. Like I did when I had my lip piercing, I trained myself to sleep on the side where my parents couldnt see it. You should try that, it may take a week or two. But eventually get the hang of it.
I use G2b glued spiking freeze spray it works the best to get your Mohawk standing, and the next day you will only need to touch up with the spiking freeze spray.
I have been using glue and gel for awhile. Sleeping is no problem..I can go for four or five days without touching it up. I just sleep on my side. Sometimes I turn in the middle of the night and the back is a little smashed when I wake up. When that happens I coat the spot in gel again and blow dry it back into place. The only problem with using elmer's glue is that it flakes off..so some may give you trouble about your "dandruff" But it doesn't bother me. I have just recently started using got2b glued freeze spray and that works wonders. When you use hairspray.. your mohawk always looks more uniform. With gel it separates into pieces. Both looks are good. It all depends on the person. If you use beeswax (good for shorter mohawks...5 inches or smaller) then you can brush it down and wear a beanie( a little messy) and just sculpt it back into place when you wake up. Beeswax is pretty hard to wash out though..so be ready to make a commitment to it. And with beeswax you can resculpt many times throughout the day.
I Used Wax For Along Time And You Can Get It Out Very Easily, Just Use Peanut Butter On Your Hair In The Shower, (It May Be Alittle Messy) But Actually It Feels Like You Conditioned Your Hair.

hey, im about 15 and ive got hair that is about 12 inches long,and really fine,what product is best for making a mohawk/spikeball??PLEASE HELP ME!
if you have really long hair you are gonna need some extreme stuff. egg whites, and glue for the tips have been said to work but I would consider cutting hair shorter and using a gentler product.

Chex, the best way to get your hair white... it looks like your hair is kinda dark... if you dye it white, it will most likely fry your hair. You need to start out with a PALE blonde... lighter hair, 2 times... darker, up to 3-5 depending. Then just get yourself a toner.. you can get it form salleys, but careful, if your hair isnt pale enough, it'll turn it purple.. unless of course you didn't really want the white and purple is fine, lol
Um Rave 4x with a blow dryer is fine.. or freezing cement... knox gelatin will mess your hair up, but it keeps it up for up to 3 days.
Jordan, just have someone cut your hair for you that knows how, dont recommend the regular hair shops, unless of course someone knows how too.. make sure your back isnt too thin though, shops do that sometimes...

You know, I wonder If I have subconciously trained myself to sleep on my side........Hrm..
And as far as spiking goes, I suggest you gel it and dry it spiked, but do like...a fan style mohawk and then let it dry. Comb it apart then gel it again. I find that it stays better.
I reccomend getting up eariler and re style it it makes iit look fresh instead of ur hair being all dull
just use hairspray and use a blowdrier to keep it stiff and train urself 2 sleep on ur side
hi, i have a 6 inch hawk n i sleep on it all the time, the trick like has already been said is just self discipline n trainin yourself to sleep on your side, however this can require a lot of patience n loss of sleep for a while until u get used to it.
hmmmm... tips for sleeping in a Mohawk. Well I have a Mohawk thats at least foot long, probably longer, and the only tips I can think of for sleeping in it is to sleep on your side & to use a firm smooth pillow or not one at all. When ever I use a soft pillow it makes my head want to turn upward which messes up my 'hawk. GOOD LUCK

i lay on one side til i fall asleep and i generally dont roll onto it after that. one night i managed to bend my hawk to the side, sleep on it, and it just popped back into its original position in the morning, just needed another coat of spray to make it strong again.
It's not hugely hard to train yourself not to turn off your side, to help it along though, you can use alot of pillows or blankets or whatever to block yourself from rolling over.
sleep on ur side and try not to move ....at all.....get a hard pillow cuz with a soft one ur head will sink in and will then bend. it this happends just bent it back and spray. its realy not hard...its hecka more easy then sleeping with 8in lib spikes.... i know from experenice.

Dude, use gelatin in your hawk. Just follow the directions on the packet (KNOX is the best I could find). Drench your hair in it, and then blow dry it to get it up. If you use gelatin, your hawk shouldn't bend too, too much. If it does, use a little more in the morning, no problems.

I think another important method that definitely needs to be mentioned, is back-combing (commonly used for making dreads). I personally think this method makes the hawk look and feel more compact. The first time you put it up, make sure to back-comb your hair, section by section, starting from the bottom and gradually getting higher when you feel it start to knot up (this can be taken out easily btw, just pull the hair apart gently. Do this before you shower or during, to prevent yanking your hair out. Any who. Once you've done that for about half an hour, your hair should already have most of it's form. Test it out by pressing your hair up with your hands and then leaving it to stand for itself, it should be standing upright already for the most part (:. Now all you need to do to fix it in place is use some hairspray or whatever that doesn't weigh it down too much. Give it a few palm presses and pinches, and you're set!
Big tip for having slept with a mohawk :
When you wake up and some of it has lost it's strength, just back-comb the bits that need fixing, or give it all a quick re-do, then a quick fix with whatever you put in your hair (make sure it's light weight), give it some more palm presses and pinches, and you should be done in 5 to 10 mins! The longer you continue this method, the easier it will be to keep your hair in shape and the more compact it will get!

What do you wrap your hair up with when go to sleep and how?

I'm not sure, I just though people wash it at night, and sleep with it regularly and spike it up in the morning?
