Because grey is a neutral any color will coordinate with it. The new contemporary combination is beige with grey.

However, I'd probably consider a more cheerful combo because grey can be somber. If you want your carpet to stand out, choose a shade of a color that is deeper in value or intensity than your sofa. If you want the sofa to stand out, it should be the other way around.

Carpet colors I'd consider for a grey sofa are: yellow, red, green, blue, brown or tan, white, orange, lavender or violet, creamy white, or black. Maybe you'll want to concentrate on texture rather than color. If your sofa is ultrasuede, try to choose something rough like one of those grassy rugs. If your sofa is a sturdy rougher type of material, buy a really soft carpet.

Put in a grey or neutral brown or tan carpet that is easy to clean. Than you can top that with a throw rug, pillows, and curtains in your accent colors. That way you can easily change your decor appearance without changing the rug or carpet.

I have a grey sectional, can I use black and grey and white rug with it? I just love black. Can I get all gray or black table in gray for my dinette set?

It looks like you have a brown tile floor and I think the black rug would look fantastic with your couch. Black goes with everything and I don't think I would use grey.

The black rug will make the grey stand out more and the grey rug could tone down your couch too much. I think the black table will look good and tie it all together.

Is that the rug? It looks nice! You could pair anything with a gray sectional.

I think a black rug would complement your grey sectional. I also think a black dinette set would be an excellent choice.

The only thing to remember about large areas of black is that any type of lint particles with stick and show up quickly.
Gray is a very good color as it is neutral but if you try to use all gray, black and white it may be a dull looking room so be sure to add some nice color accents like pillows, pictures, curtains to brighten up the room.

Usually a mixture of colors - like variegated/blended work better than a solid block of one color.
