I don't always have the packages on hand and I can season as I like this way.
In a heavy pan, cook the beef and onion over medium heat until meat is no longer pink, drain. Stir in the rest of the ingredients; bring to a boil. Cover and simmer for 10 minutes.
Always make sure your spices are fresh for the best flavor.
