The bees were out in full force pollenating our fruit trees. I swear they knew I was taking their picture and avoided me quite effectively. Somehow I managed to sneak up on this little guy. :-)

That looks like a honey bee. We used to have lots of them in our area and now I rarely ever see one. Something is happening to the honey bees. They are precious insects. Their services as pollinators of agricultural crops makes them so valuable.
Beautiful picure! They always fly out of my viewfinder before I can snap the picture~ Such beautiful creatures!
