As some of you know, I recently drove across country. I left Chicago on March 27th and headed for Falls Church, VA. I stayed a few days with some friends, and then left for Oregon. My trip was adventurous to say the least. I slept in my car most of the way, ate bad food, and got lost a few times...but got some nice shots.
I will do an essay of the trip soon, but not on this little laptop! For now, suffice to say I am glad to be home, and would love to share just a few of the shots I got.
Some are steer, deer, sunrises and sets, snow, a dragon made of scrap metal, and more.
I am also including a poem of my stay in a rest stop!
Stuck
by Sandra A.Got stuck in Laramie over night
Wind was bad but the snow was lightLeft this morning blue sky above
Made it enough to shove
the gear down one slowly creepingSomehow I continued keeping
the little car upon the roads
Ahead of semis and shifted loadsMade it to a restful stop
easing my way to the topThe cell won't work so everyone
thinks I'm driving having funI have a potty, food and drink
I'll be alright is what I thinkAdvertisementBut this has proven one thing I know
I am oh so done with snow
Hope you enjoy!
