Sanitize Pantry Items Before Storing

This is for those who want to keep a cleaner kitchen or for those who need extra protection. I've done this for several years now. When I get home from grocery shopping, I saturate a heavy-duty paper towel with white vinegar (re-spraying as needed) and wipe off every piece.

I feel more comfortable stocking my own pantry and refrigerator with 'cleaner' items. It doesn't take a lot of time, so you could do this to anything brought home. Special blessings for you all.

Source: I read somewhere years ago how contaminated cans and boxes could be just stocked on grocery store shelves, but I don't know where I read this or if they suggested the wipe-down solution.

I have been doing this for years. You never know what beasties have been walking, etc. on the cans.

This is a really good idea.I always wash my my hands when I come home from shopping as they feel grubby, so wiping the goods I have bought, makes sense. Good tip. ;-)
