If your coffee grinder takes longer than it should to work, instead of thinking about replacing it, just resharpen the blades. Toss in a handful of uncooked rice. The rice will re-sharpen your blades for you.

Clean your coffee grinder by grinding up one cup of uncooked rice once a month. This will also help to keep the blades sharp.

I get that rice would clean your grinder, but sharpen? you're saying that to sharpen the blades of something that is made to grind hard beans you should grind something harder to restore the blades.
This is true according to what I have read. It is called the Mpemba effect.
I have tried the rice method several times with my Krups grinder, and it does nothing at all. No improvement.
