I pulled the electrical cord on my iron too far out and now it won't retract. Any ideas on how to get the cord to retract?

Ditto with not messing with it! Just wrap up the cord the old fashioned way and place it between the iron and handle when storing ;-)
Just use it as is, no problem, good luck.
These things either have a little pulley or spring combination inside that make them work; unless you know what you're doing with small appliances, it's not a good bet to go in there and mess around with it.
Chances are having a repair done would be as much or more than the iron is worth. If it were me, I'd use it the way it is as long as it's otherwise functional.
I have a Hamilton Beach iron which stopped retracting when I pulled the cord past the red line. So I pushed the cord into the outlet little by little until it would not go in any farther. It left about a foot and a half cord out dangling. Then I pushed the button a few times and it started retracting a little bit at a time. I kept this up until the whole cord was retracted. Now it works fine. Now Ill make sure I never pull the cord out too far again!
