A good exfoliation with some white sugar and your regular body wash should help some. You don't want to scrub too much though, you'll make yourself raw. But it should help tone it down. How a modern tanning cream could make you orange is a bummer though, they seem to do a pretty good job of making people brown.

Hope that helps some. It won't take long, as the tanning creams only dye the top layers of skin, so a good scrub and a few days, you should be back to "normal".

Some of the less expensive creams will turn your skin orange. Spring for the name brands and they will do a better job.

Check Big Lots and some other discount stores for the name brand, they usually sell them for less.

Plain rubbing alcohol will take it off. Just pour a little on a rag and wash with it, taking care to stay away from eyes and other tender areas.

You must be a redhead like I am. The same thing happened to me and my sisters (redheads all). We called the manufacturer's help line and they advised that we soak in the tub for awhile and gently scrub with a loofah and it worked! Evidently, if you don't tan from the sun, you won't tan with a tanning creme. Who knew?
