I went home to Norco, California to see my father. This photo was taken from our hotel room patio; the month was April 2010. The mountains had snow on them every place we went. It was so beautiful; no smog, no heat waves, just calm lovely weather.
We were there for a 5.0 earthquake, 1 murder across the street from our hotel, and 1 bomb threat across the street from our hotel room. There was also a bomb threat at the library, where we went to to use the internet. At least the scenery was nice.

Lovely picture, I showed this to my Scottish husband because he refuses to go see where I'm from (born in San Bernardino County, raised in Riverside and Orange Counties); I left the area back in the early 70s due to the increasing violence so I can understand why he's not interested in visiting anytime soon.
And yes, the '71 quake had a lot to do with my decision to leave too.
The picture looks like the peaceful place it was in the 50s and 60s. Thank-you for the memories:)
