Helping a Wounded Butterfly (Sunnyvale, CA)

Diamond Post Medal for All Time! 1,246 Posts

My mother found this wounded butterfly in her garden. It couldn't fly so she kept it in a small basket with some sugar water solution for nutrition. There are some websites about how to repair a butterfly's damaged wing but this one made it on it's own and flew away. :)

That's such a nice story ~ I never would have even known that I could have helped a poor little butterfly. Thank you so much for sharing and thank you both for saving such a gorgeous creature!

I actually never knew either until my mother started saving them! Then I was inspired to go look around online to find out more.

Some professional sites even show how to save a very torn wing with scotch tape - amazing!
