We didn't make this, but so simple for crafty people to make using picket fence boards and a little paint. Looks like they used a stencil for the lettering and stars.
I hope it will inspire someone to give it a try.

You could make this as a mini flag with painted Popsicle sticks. To make the ends pointed, scrape them on a sidewalk or sand them.

This novel idea was posted in 2010 and my neighbor has just completed a similar one made from 2 wooden pallets. He had to do a little extra work but it looks nice as he painted it on both sides, placed it in his front yard and it can be seen coming from either direction.
