Cat Litter For Drying Flowers?

Does anyone know if you can use silica gel cat litter for drying flowers? It seems like it would be a lot cheaper than special flower drying silica gel.

Although I've never done it myself, I have heard of people burying cut flowers in cat litter to dry them.
Good luck!

For years I have saved the little packets of silica gel that come in shoeboxes and handbags and pill bottles. That's a good way to get it without paying for it. Have your friends save their packets for you, too.

The best thing to use would probably be clay kitty litter, and it may be cheaper.
