Caring For A Christmas Cactus?

My Christmas cactus blooms, but is not growing taller or fuller. It is just staying the same size. How can I increase plant growth? What kind of fertilizer should I use?

I use Schultz 10-15-10 Plant food plus. It is liquid, I mix about a Gal of water to 14 DROPS of the plant food. Water plants about every 2-3 weeks. Don't over water. GG Vi

I use Miracle Gro liquid fertilizer on my Christmas Cactus about once a month and not too much. I mix up a Tbsp. in a gallon of water and just put a small amount on each plant.

I live on Long Island, N.Y., I use African violet potting mix and African violet plant food (Bonide /7-10-7) on my plant. I have been doing this for several years, the plant is approximately 37-38 years old. I have seen a definite improvement in the plant since. I put the plant outside on my covered porch in late June which gives it morning sun and take it in sometime in September depending on nighttime temps and bud formation.

I try to take it in before the buds form since they are very delicate and will fall off if you just look at them crossways! I start feeding them when they are put outside and stop after they finish blooming. I came across this site b/c I need to divide the plant and re-pot it. This is the first time I have had to do this, usually just using the pieces that fall off.
