I prefer this version:
Dump some baking soda into a small, lidded plastic container. Add a good squirt of dishwashing liquid. Gradually add water and mix until the texture resembles cake frosting. If it's too dry, add a little more water. Too wet, a little more baking soda.
I keep a plastic spoon next to the container under my sink and just scoop out a little when I want it. If it's been long enough since I used it that it has dried out, I just add a little more water. I make about a cup of this at a time.
