Robin, this is basially the recpe used to make Apple Crisp in most elementary school cafeterias.
It was always a favorite with the children. I still will make Apple Crisp for all these college kids that study here with our DIL. I thoroughly enjoy the conversation it provokes. I believe it must have been every child's favorite school lunchroom dessert, and was way too often the only thing the child ate from the entire meal.
The school cafeteria managers would love to hear what the kids have to say about much of what is prepared and tossed into the garbage cans after one taste. You'd think they'd have found it out by now.
What a waste of government funds when school lunches could be made to eat...not just to fit
a politician's budget. Just my opiinion, of course.
Thank you for sharing Robin.
