Cooking Spray as Alternative to WD40

Bronze Post Medal for All Time! 163 Posts

The next best thing to WD40 is baking spray. I have used it on hinges, squeaky cabinets, and so many other things. I got my key stuck in the lock at work and I sprayed butter baking spray in the lock and it came out just as slick as a slimy snake. So if you are in need of WD40 and don't have it, try your baking spray. You'd be surprised at what it can handle.

Using this spray will in time become gummy in your locks. Just use Wd40.

You shoul always carrry WD 40 and Duck tape everywhere you go. Many uses in car or at home. You can use coking spray too.

Baking spray is also great to spray down the inside, back seam of over the shoe snow boots. It makes it so much easier to slide those boots on.

Cooking spray is cooking oil (canola, olive, peanut, etc.) in a spray aerosol can. There are pump cans available in the U.S. that can be filled with any type of cooking oil or some people even put cooking oil in a regular spray bottle.

Normally, this is used for cooking or baking. It will use less oil than pouring it in a pan, making it lower calorie.

I'm not sure if these are available in India but you may be able to find it online and have it shipped.
